Since the decoupling of the tobacco subsidies in Greece the quantities of Oriental and Flue Cured tobaccos have decreased dramatically. The group has had huge success in increasing tobacco growing by our Agronomy Department udertaking several projects, such as CPA residue elimination, with hiring new agronomists, organizing training workshops and planting traditional varieties in other Balkan countries.
